Amelia Introduce

For those searching for "Candles Near Me" in Portland, Oregon, we'd like to introduce you to Amelia, a unique boutique located at 2230 NE Alberta St, Portland, OR 97211, USA. You can contact them at (503) 567-8315 or +1 503-567-8315. While Amelia might not be solely dedicated to candles, it's a well-regarded local shop that offers a curated collection of items from local and small designers, potentially including candles within their diverse inventory of beauty products and home accessories. To ascertain their current candle selection, a direct inquiry might be beneficial, but let's explore what makes Amelia a notable presence in the Alberta Arts District.

Based on customer reviews, the experience at Amelia appears to be somewhat varied. One customer reported significant issues with an order, citing a long wait time, receiving incorrect items, sizing inaccuracies, and a lack of response to emails, leading to difficulties with returns. This feedback highlights potential challenges in their online order fulfillment and customer service in certain instances. It's important for prospective customers to be aware of this reported experience.

In contrast, another local patron describes Amelia as "one of my favorite Alberta/Pdx staples." This positive review paints a picture of a boutique that offers a distinctive collection from local and small designers, ranging from unique apparel like "flower dresses" to quirky items such as "venus flytrap t-shirts," alongside beauty products and jewelry. This suggests that Amelia prides itself on showcasing independent creators and offering items that you might not find in more mainstream retail environments. The reviewer specifically praised the jewelry line made by the owner, expressing their love for silver skull earrings and a collection of colorful stone necklaces, concluding with an appreciation for the "lovely store and lovely people." This indicates that the in-store experience can be quite positive, characterized by unique products and a pleasant atmosphere.

Considering your search for "Candles Near Me," Amelia's selection of beauty products might indeed include candles. Many boutiques that feature local artisans often carry handcrafted candles as part of their home goods or self-care offerings. Given Amelia's focus on local and small designers, it's plausible that they stock candles made by Portland-area creators, which could offer unique scents and designs compared to mass-produced options. While the reviews don't explicitly mention candles, it would be worthwhile to visit the store or contact them to inquire about their current inventory in this category.

The environment of Amelia, based on the positive review, seems to be that of a charming local boutique, likely reflecting the artistic and independent spirit of the Alberta Arts District. The mention of "lovely people" suggests a welcoming and perhaps more personalized shopping experience compared to larger retailers. The focus on local and small designers implies a commitment to supporting the community and offering unique, often handcrafted items. This could translate to a curated selection of goods, where each piece has a story or a connection to the local creative scene.

The services offered at Amelia appear to include retail sales of clothing, jewelry, and beauty products, with a particular emphasis on items from independent designers. The positive review highlights the unique jewelry line created by the owner, suggesting a personal touch and perhaps the opportunity to find truly one-of-a-kind pieces. While the negative review points to potential issues with online order fulfillment and returns, the in-store experience seems to be well-regarded by at least one local customer. If you are local to Portland, visiting the physical store might provide a more reliable and enjoyable experience.

Features of Amelia likely include its commitment to showcasing local talent, offering a diverse range of unique products, and potentially providing a more intimate and curated shopping experience. The fact that the owner designs and sells their own jewelry line adds a distinctive element to the boutique. If you are looking for items that are different from what you might find in typical chain stores and want to support local designers, Amelia could be a great place to explore. This ethos of supporting small creators might extend to their selection of beauty products and potentially candles as well.

Regarding promotional information, none was explicitly provided in the reviews. However, boutiques like Amelia often feature new arrivals from their designers, and they might participate in local events or offer promotions specific to the store. To learn about any current specials or new candle selections (if available), it would be best to check their social media if they have a presence, or to contact them directly via phone.

In conclusion, while Amelia at 2230 NE Alberta St in Portland might not be exclusively a "Candles Near Me" destination, it is a local boutique that offers a variety of unique items from local and small designers, including beauty products and jewelry. There's a possibility that they carry locally made candles as part of their curated collection. While one review highlighted significant issues with online orders, another praised the store for its unique offerings and the charm of the people. If you are in the Alberta Arts District and looking to support local designers while potentially finding some interesting candles among their other products, Amelia could be worth a visit. We recommend contacting them directly to inquire about their current candle selection and any in-store promotions.

Order took forever. Received the wrong items. Is not true to size. They do not respond to emails so returns are not possible. Save yourself the time, effort and frustration and burn your money instead of giving it to them.

Amelia is one of my favorite Alberta/Pdx staples. The boutique offers a collection of local and small designers, from flower dresses to venus flytrap t-shirts, beauty products, and jewelry. My personal fave is the jewelry line made by the owner. I love my silver skull earrings and my collection of colorful stone necklaces. Lovely store and lovely people.

Visited for the first time at the recommendation of one of the owners of Frock, down the street. I was looking for plus size designer clothes. It’s smallish airy shop with a handful of racks. Mostly femme styles, up to 4X in multiple pieces if I recall correctly. I was really excited to see they carry Tonlé as I have been “window shopping” their website for a while. They also had a great fragrance selection, jewelry, and other accessories.

I love this little shop! The staff are kind and helpful, the store itself is so charming and lovely and the selection of goods are beautifully curated - From dresses to jewelry to lipstick, I have found some of my all-time-favorite lines through Amelia. Oh, and the bath bombs…pure heaven!
