It's sticky hot outside and I am ready and anxious for Fall weather. The Lafco Family Room Cortland Apple candle just arrived and is my cure to escape this unseasonably hot weather. The description reads "A bright and dazzling scent, like a bite from a perfectly ripe apple just picked from the tree on a crisp autumn day." It does not disappoint. The description is exactly as it smells. Fresh and crisp like a perfectly tart and juicy apple. I like that they kept the scent simple and didn't add spices to turn it into apple pie or anything gourmand. Instead the created the pure essence of the fruit in a glorious candle. A beautiful respite from this heat to help me feel like it's Fall. All I need now is some hot apple cider.
Lafco candles are made with clean burning soy-based wax and 100% natural cotton wick. The Cortland Apple candle is poured in an over-sized, hand blown, brilliant red, art glass vessel (approx 4” x 4”) that will become a keepsake for generations to come. The red glass is stunning as the candle burns.
