Weaver Street Market Introduce

For residents of North Carolina who prioritize fresh, healthy, and locally sourced food, Weaver Street Market stands as a distinctive and beloved grocery destination. More than just a place to buy groceries, the Raleigh location at 404 W Hargett St embodies a unique cooperative model, emphasizing community ownership, sustainable practices, and a vibrant marketplace experience. This article will provide a comprehensive look into what makes Weaver Street Market a special resource for locals, from its diverse product offerings to its commitment to the community.

Weaver Street Market is a worker- and consumer-owned cooperative, a model that sets it apart from traditional grocery stores. This means that both its employees and its customers have a stake in the business, fostering a strong sense of community and ensuring that the market remains responsive to local needs and values. Since its inception, Weaver Street Market has focused on natural and organic food, with a particular emphasis on supporting local farmers and fair trade producers. This commitment is reflected in its carefully curated selection, where quality, freshness, and ethical sourcing are paramount.

The Raleigh store, situated in The Dillon building within the burgeoning Warehouse District, extends this cooperative ethos into the heart of the city. It’s designed to be a "community gathering place" where people can not only shop for high-quality food but also connect, learn, and enjoy prepared meals. Our aim is to give you a clear and engaging overview of this unique grocery store, highlighting its key features and why it's a valuable addition to the North Carolina food scene.

Little more expensive, but great mission and local products. The hot bar is delicious and they have a good cheese selection.

Great grocery store option for sensitive diets - vegan, gluten free, dairy free - you can find them all! Good fruits and veggies section, my only negative is no one was running the counters for smoothies or coffee on Sunday afternoon but they did have ready made options in fridges.

I love Weaver Street market. Their produce is always fresh. I actually found gluten-free bread there that tastes like regular bread. I love that they have options that I can’t find anywhere else.
