Penny Post

This was such a cute stationery store. It's located in downtown Alexandria, so it's a little hard to find parking but not impossible. They have a lot of unique products (stickers, fountain pens, bags, etc). The prices are on the high side but comparable to any other stationery store with handmade, unique items. I was on a slight time crunch so I didn't get to see everything, but I would love to go back again and spend more time.

I am obsessed. They have loads of cute stationery, cards, stickers, pencils, and accessories… but my very favorite part is their pen wall. So many individual pens it’s easy to try and find new favorites in every sort—ballpoint and fountain and gel and highlighters.

I usually love this shops but they are currently closed for 2 days for inventory which is odd and inconvenient as they are the only local store that sells most of their inventory. Having worked in retail I’ve never once closed a shop during working hours for inventory and have only ever done it after or before hours so not to inconvenience patrons. Something to consider in the future.

I love this place! They have such a good variety of items for all types of journal lovers and other great trinkets for thoughtful gifting :) the staff are so friendly as well.
