Market of Choice Franklin Introduce

For discerning shoppers across Oregon, especially those residing in Eugene, a grocery store is often sought for more than just basic pantry staples. It's a place where quality, local sourcing, and a diverse selection of specialty items truly matter. Market of Choice has built its reputation on this very premise, offering a sophisticated yet accessible shopping experience that emphasizes fresh, natural, and organic products. The Market of Choice on Franklin Boulevard in Eugene stands as a prime example of this commitment, serving as a hub for gourmet ingredients, ready-to-eat meals, and a curated selection of everyday essentials. This article is crafted specifically for local users in the Oregon region, providing a clear, engaging, and factual overview of what makes the Franklin Boulevard Market of Choice a distinctive and valued part of the community's culinary landscape, covering its location, diverse services, standout features, and why it's a suitable choice for those who appreciate high-quality food.

A "grocery store" fundamentally refers to a retail market that sells food. However, establishments like Market of Choice elevate this concept significantly. They operate as premium supermarkets, specializing in natural, organic, and specialty foods, often with a strong emphasis on locally sourced products. While they carry traditional grocery items, their strength lies in offering a broader range of high-quality, often artisanal, options that might not be found in conventional supermarkets. This typically includes a robust produce department featuring a vast array of fresh fruits and vegetables, a comprehensive meat and seafood counter with sustainably sourced and often locally raised options, a world-class bakery with scratch-made goods, and an extensive deli offering prepared foods, cheeses, and charcuterie. Market of Choice also distinguishes itself by stocking a wide selection of craft beer, fine wines, and specialty spirits, alongside natural health and beauty products. The overall concept is to provide "Food For The Way You Live," catering to diverse dietary needs and preferences, from vegan and gluten-free to those seeking gourmet ingredients for a special meal. It's designed to be a destination for those who prioritize quality, freshness, and unique culinary finds.

The Market of Choice store in Eugene, Oregon, is conveniently located at 1960 Franklin Blvd, Eugene, OR 97403, USA. This address places it strategically along Franklin Boulevard, a major arterial road that connects downtown Eugene with the University of Oregon campus and extends eastward. Its position ensures excellent visibility and straightforward access for residents across Eugene and visitors to the university area. The store benefits from ample parking in its dedicated lot, which is a significant convenience for shoppers carrying groceries. This makes it easy for individuals traveling by car to access the store without significant hassle, even during busier times. For those utilizing public transportation, Eugene's Lane Transit District (LTD) provides extensive bus services. Major roads like Franklin Boulevard are typically well-served by LTD routes, offering a convenient public transportation option to reach the Market of Choice. Its accessible location near a major educational institution and residential areas solidifies its role as a key culinary destination in Eugene.

The Market of Choice Franklin in Eugene, Oregon, is distinguished by several key features and highlights that contribute to its premium appeal and make it a favored destination for specific segments of the local community. These aspects underscore its commitment to quality and a unique shopping environment.

  • Focus on Fresh, Natural, Organic, and Local: This is the cornerstone of Market of Choice's philosophy. They prioritize sourcing high-quality ingredients, often directly from Oregon farmers, ranchers, and fisherfolk, ensuring freshness and supporting the local economy.
  • Gourmet & Specialty Selection: Beyond basic groceries, the store excels in offering unique, hard-to-find, and artisanal products, from specialty cheeses and international deli items to unique craft beverages, making it a destination for culinary enthusiasts.
  • High-Quality Prepared Foods (Market Kitchen): The in-store Market Kitchen is a major draw, offering chef-prepared dishes, fresh sushi, and a variety of ready-to-eat options that cater to busy lifestyles, providing convenient and healthy meal solutions.
  • Inviting Atmosphere & Design: Market of Choice stores are often designed to be more than just transactional spaces. They feature comfortable gathering areas, including seating (sometimes with board games and books), creating a "neighborhood living room" vibe that encourages lingering and community connection.
  • Expansive Beer & Wine Selection: Known for its impressive array of local, regional, and international beers and wines, often with much of the beer selection refrigerated, which is appreciated by connoisseurs.
  • Strong Bakery Department: The bakery is a consistent highlight, praised for its "delicious, fresh" and "scratch-made" offerings, from breads to pastries and custom cakes.
  • Commitment to Customer Service: While general grocery store service can be non-existent in some sections, the staff at Market of Choice are generally described as pleasant and polite, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Market of Choice, including its Franklin Boulevard location in Eugene, focuses its "promotions" primarily on its everyday commitment to high-quality, fresh, and often locally sourced products. Unlike some large chain supermarkets that rely heavily on deep discounts and couponing, Market of Choice tends to emphasize value through quality and unique offerings. However, local users in Oregon can still find various ways to discover savings and special deals:

  • Weekly Ads/Sales Flyers: Market of Choice releases weekly ads that highlight current sales and featured items across its departments. These flyers are available in-store and typically on their official website. Checking the weekly ad is the primary way to find discounted prices on produce, meats, deli items, and other grocery staples.
  • In-Store Specials: Beyond the weekly ad, there are often in-store specials and manager's specials on perishable items nearing their sell-by date, or on overstock items. These are usually clearly marked within the departments.
  • Local Producer Spotlights: Market of Choice frequently promotes its local partners through special displays and signage, which might coincide with introductory pricing or special deals on these specific local products.
  • Seasonal Sales: Like most grocery stores, Market of Choice will have seasonal sales events, particularly around holidays or changes in growing seasons, offering discounts on relevant produce or holiday-specific items.
  • Market of Choice App (Upcoming): While not universally available for online ordering, Market of Choice is reportedly planning to launch an app that will primarily serve as a digital coupon platform. This will be a key channel for future digital savings.
  • Catering Specials: For those utilizing their catering services, there may be seasonal or package deals available for events and parties.

Given the focus on quality over aggressive discounting, shoppers at Market of Choice often find value in the premium nature of the products and the overall shopping experience rather than solely on rock-bottom prices. Regularly reviewing their weekly ad is the best strategy for finding current promotions.

The inviting atmosphere, complete with gathering spaces and a coffee/beer/wine bar, transforms grocery shopping into a more enjoyable and community-oriented activity. Although it may not be the cheapest option for every item, the value lies in the freshness, variety, and often unique offerings that aren't readily available elsewhere. I love this store! They also make great coffee. Only reason I took a star off is because their custom sandwiches are not good at all. Do not get the roast beef! Last time I got it it tasted like dog breath:/

Every drink from yogurt to orange juice tasted overly fermented. It seems like a store for sophisticated, educated, and intelligent drunks. I've been friends with Bill. W for over 13 successful years. So overly fermented drinks are not appealing to me. Also, products are way overpriced. I can get your produce at a farm stand on the side of the road for a better price. I'm not sold on the ideas surrounding the Market of Culo.

I got the worst tamale I’ve ever had here. It had just loose corn and black beans in it. On top of that, the guy that gave it to me was new and not wearing gloves. On top of THAT it was frosty when they gave it to me, I asked them to warm it up and they said no. Literally just “no”. It’s also just overpriced
