Here is what we shared about main event episode 31 on Scent Snob, your source for candle, diffuser and fragrance coverage.

Hammam is a bath and body line by red flower. Hammam is a great collection for detoxification. There are 6 steps in the Hammam ritual for bathing.

The first step is the Moroccan Mint Tea Silt Purifier. This cleansing wash is used to deeply purify and detoxify the skin. I enjoyed the soft fragrance and the silky feel of the wash.

After that step, the Lemon Coffee Blossom Olive Stone Scrub is used to exfoliate and tone. I loved the invigoration scent of coffee and they way the scrub worked to exfoliate without being scratchy or drying. This scrub helps redistribute fat cells and decreases the formation of cellulite. It also acts as a vasoconstrictor to reduce the appearance of varicose veins. Given those two advantages, this scrub is a huge hit in the summer to make your legs look great in dresses!

After exfoliating, the Rose Jasmine Rhassoul Clay works as a body polish to detoxify, tone and balance. I love that red flower creates body polishes within their lines to take exfoliation to the next level. My skin has never felt so soft, clean and moisturized as it did after this treatment.

The 4th step is the Orange Quince Steam Room Mist. Although it is called a room mist, it’s actually for spraying all over your body to replenish, cool and awaken the skin. It works to stimulate blood flow and circulation to help remove impurities, tighten pores, brighten and rehydrate the skin. This is a pampering spray to beat the wintertime blues or a refreshing spray in the hot summer months.

After the spray, Cardamom Amber Oil is used to warm the body. While it looks heavy and greasy, it absorbs into the skin quickly and feels very light and moisturizing. This has a heavier scent, reminiscent of college days and patchouli. Many people where this as a body fragrance.

Finally, the Tangerine Fig Butter Creme is the ultimate indulgence. The creme is so thick and rich and very earthy in smell. It covers your body in a protective layer of moisture to replenish dry winter skin or revive sun-dried summertime skin. This is a great way to end the treatment.

Overall, the fragrances blend well as they are layered one on top of the other. None of the fragrances were overwhelming, but were all clearly fragrant. Some were more earthy than my preference but all enjoyable and perfect if you prefer more incensy/heavy scents. After this treatment my skin felt more healthy, smooth and soft that I can ever remember!

I also tried the Neroli Cypress High Atlas Bath Soak which can be used on occasion for deeper detoxification. I enjoyed the blend of dead sea salts, clay and essential oils and felt refreshed and relaxed afterwards. I also noticed that this bath didn’t dry out my skin like some bubble-baths do.

A quick scent guide

Care matters. Store candles and fragrance oils away from heat and direct sun, keep lids on, and follow the maker’s instructions to keep a scent smelling its best.

Scent is personal. A fragrance that feels cozy to one person can feel heavy to another, so use our notes as a starting point and trust your own nose.

Give a scent time. The first impression is not always the whole story, because fragrance notes open up and settle as a candle warms or a diffuser works.

Layering is a fun way to personalize a room. Pairing two scents that share a note, such as a citrus with a green leaf, can create something that feels like yours.
