Belle Fleur Orange Blossom Pomegranate is one of my favorite fragrances from the brand, and it is not the floral you might expect from the name. Here is the description, my notes and some context on how it compares with other orange blossom candles.
This lyrical fragrance was inspired by the idea of the Original Sin. This is pure, unadulterated sin, but without the guilt. Often considered the “Fruit of Paradise,” the luscious ruby red seeds of the pomegranate are scandalously enticing. Blended with notes of sweet cassis and the unexpected bouquet of garden roses, its sultry sensuality will turn any room into an intoxicating oasis.
Orange Blossom Pomegranate is one of my favorite fragrances by Belle Fleur. I am immediately taken by its crisp notes of bitter orange, tart currant and cassis, and fruity pomegranate. After that delicate florals of geranium and rose unfold with just a touch of jasmine for punch and orange blossom for depth.
All of this rests on amber and vanilla that is ever so slight so it doesn’t upset our outshine the delicate balance above. The soft base grounds the fragrance keeping it from becoming too tart and leaving you with acid stomach.
While I love the beautiful name, it throws me a bit. I think of it more as “Pomegranate Orange” or “Seville Orange Pomegranate”. Most Orange Blossom candles are incredibly floral. If you’ve ever smelled Nest Orange Blossom, Carrière Frères Citrus Dulcis (Orange Blossom) or Voluspa Orangerie D’Azahar, you know exactly what I mean.
Belle Fleur Orange Blossom Pomegranate is far more fruity than floral. I love it on a bright sunny day or anytime I need an uplifting, fresh scent.
I’d love to visit Florida while the orange blossoms are in bloom to take in the scent in it’s most pure form. In the meantime, this fragrance transports me to an orange grove where I’m surrounded by graceful flowers and juicy oranges. The fresh air fills my lungs and the sun warms my skin.

What Orange Blossom Pomegranate smells like
Going by the description and my own nose, the opening is crisp and tart: bitter orange, currant and cassis, and fruity pomegranate. After that come geranium and rose, with a little jasmine for punch and orange blossom for depth.
The base of amber and vanilla is soft on purpose. It keeps the whole thing from turning sour, which matters because a fragrance this tart could easily feel sharp without something to hold it.
So Orange Blossom Pomegranate reads as fruity first and floral second. If a name like that makes you expect a bouquet, adjust that picture before you buy.
The name versus the scent
The name throws me a bit. I think of it more as Pomegranate Orange or Seville Orange Pomegranate, because the fruit leads. A name is just a label, so go by the notes instead.
Seville orange is a bitter orange, and the bitterness explains the crisp opening. The sweet amber and vanilla underneath then soften it.
In short, expect something bright, tart and slightly sweet, not a heavy perfumed flower. Orange Blossom Pomegranate suits people who like citrus and berry style scents.
Why it stands apart from other orange blossom candles
Most orange blossom candles are very floral, and I listed three that fit that description: Nest Orange Blossom, Carriere Freres Citrus Dulcis and Voluspa Orangerie D’Azahar. This one goes in a different direction.
If you love white florals, the others may suit you better. If you find them too soapy or perfumey, a fruit-led blend like Orange Blossom Pomegranate is a safer place to start.

I like Orange Blossom Pomegranate on a bright, sunny day or any time I want something fresh. Fruity scents tend to feel best in kitchens, hallways and living rooms where you want an uplift rather than a heavy mood.
Orange Blossom Pomegranate also works as an everyday candle because it never gets heavy; this is the one I reach for when the house needs freshening up.
Let the first burn run long enough for the wax to melt right across the top, which stops tunneling and helps the scent come through evenly. Keep the wick trimmed short and the flame away from drafts.
