In the spring of 2012, Jason Wu collaborated with NEST Fragrances to launch his first luxury scented candle, Orchid Rain.
Orchid Rain combines the rare and fragrant white Cattleya orchid with nashi
pear, pomegranate and goji berry. The unique fruity and floral essences are
enhanced with blonde birchwood and hints of pink pepper and coconut.
Orchid Rain reflects the modern florals Laura Slatkin is so famous for creating. This fragrance reminds me of the dew drop note in her Blue Garden candle. Jason Wu Orchid Rain is another watery floral, but the subtle fruity notes and coconut add a welcome warmth and character to the scent without distracting from the clean floral essence. The candle is decorated with a signature grey, black and white orchid-floral petal print, inspired naturally by Wu's Spring 2012 collection. The sophisticated, custom-made porcelain candle vessel is topped with an elegant, gold-plated lid.
